A Sunday in Cambridge
Farmer’s Markets in Upstate New York during the summer are always a treat. The Sunday Farmer’s Market in Cambridge caught my eye as we passed through, as it is located in the center of town directly in front of the Cambridge Hotel. Stopping we wandered around and picked up some fresh veggies at Happen Chance Farm and a bottle of wine at Colbrook Country Wines. By the time we finished meandering through the stands, it was noon and we saw that the Hotel is now offering a Sunday Brunch. It was wonderful!! We helped ourselves to herbed eggs, maple bacon, sausage and hash. Further down the line was the most delicious pork tenderloin, cheesy scalloped potatoes, and sautéed local vegetables. And even further, to top off the line, was a prime rib that was cooked to perfection. Everything from the Mediterranean Orzo Salad to the desserts was fantastic. I understand they switch it up every week, so the next time I go I can sample tastes from a whole new selection of foods. And the cost was so reasonable that I can’t help but recommend the Cambridge Farmer’s Market and The Cambridge Hotel’s Brunch ….makes for a nice Sunday.
